Dear Church Family,

You may be wondering about Christ's Church's response to the announcement about reopening the state.  Yesterday, right after the governor's announcement, all the clergy members in Maryland had a Zoom meeting with Bishop Johnson to discuss the impact on our churches.

Because we were given many detailed guidelines on how to prepare to reopen church, should certain churches decide to do so, SunAe and I wanted to share Bishop Johnson's powerpoint presentation, which is attached for your review. The core message is to be cautious, and to not reopen sanctuaries too soon without the right and required preparation to keep everyone safe.  Of course, we want to return to the sanctuary and worship together with you, but we want to be thoughtful, careful, and prioritize our health and safety first.

Our church council will meet this coming Wednesday to discuss this issue and our plans going forward.  We appreciate your patience, and ask for your continued prayer as we all navigate these unprecedented times.

Dear Christ Family,

In response to the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have officially canceled all

in-person church services and gatherings until further notice.

Our Sunday services will be live-streamed on Facebook ( at 6pm each Saturday, except for Easter (more details to follow). The recording will be shared on Sunday mornings again.  Feel free to type an "Amen" or your prayer requests as you attend our virtual services.  This may be a different experience for our community, but engaging in this way can create wider participation.

And finally, while we may be social distancing from one another, God has not distanced Himself from us.

Let us continue to lift up our church and our community in prayer.
